QuadRemeshi is a great work! How can I export the mesh to finite elements? (I am a finite element analysis engineer))

Hi everyone,

I just tried the QuadRemesh, it is so fantastic!!
I really can understand how much work the Rhino guys have done for this new tool: as a finite element analysis engineer, it’s my job to mesh all kinds of (surface) geometris with quard meshes, and usually it needs lots of practice and years of experience to get a high quality mesh. But now, QuadRemesh can do all this job in several seconds! I mush show my respects to the Rhino guys!
Here is a question, how can I eport the mesh to finite elements for my analysis code (e.g., Abaqus, Ls-Dyna…)? Otherwise I just can see the nice mesh but can’t use it for my simulation job.

Thanks again!

Knowing what Abaqus and LS-dyna can import would help here.

Here is a thread that may help: Can GH import or export FEA mesh (abaqus, lsdyna...)? The meshing function of GH is so good, even better than traditional meshing code

Thank you, Scott!
Yes, I asked the similar question before.
Now I have the idea: export the mesh into .obj file, then transfer it to Abaqus or Ls-Dyna file using python or matlab.

Thanks again!
