Quad Remesh looses materials and mapping

Hi, just testing out the WIP and gave the quad remesh a go.
It seems to do a great job, but ignores the originals mesh material and mapping. Will this be fixed in the future?


Remapping is not on the roadmap for v7 but we hope to have some material mapping transfer at some point in the future.

Mapping types like planar, box, etc should be very easy to transfer and should be considered IMO.
Same goes for assigning material IF above mapping was transferable.
I understand that remapping complex surface mapping would require more work of course.


@Holo ahh yes I was referring to UV’s seams etc. I see the basic transfer is not wired up and have just corrected that for the next WIP. Thanks!
