Pull-Force vectors

Hellow fellow users,

I’m trying to simulate hanging geometries with Kangaroo 2 in order to experiment with distribution of forces. Now I want to extract the precise direction of the pull forces affecting each point of the hanging mesh. Is there any way to achieve this with kangaroo or is there a simpler way through another plugin?

(By the way, is there an effective plugin on visualizing and analysing static properties?)

windloads.gh (15.0 KB) You can also do this with just Kangaroo. Here’s an indication of how to get started setting this up and showing some reaction forces.

Analysis of catenary

catenary_units.gh (17.4 KB) Here’s an example of a 30m long 1cm diameter steel cable, hanging under self weight, showing how to use proper units for calculating deformation. You could add other point loads (in kg) as you like.
