Project curve on stl

I ´ve got a problem, i want to project a curve on stl , for this way can extract a section.
Anyone have some suggestion?

Hello- both Section and Project should work - are you finding they do not?

it´s possible split a stl?

Provided it’s not a very messy mesh, yes, you should be able to split it.
If you get stuck, please post your 3dm file.
