Problems with UI

Hi,

I’m using iRhino 3D version v9.0.26012 (10030.0) on an iPhone 15 Pro, and I’m experiencing a couple of problems with the UI, which I didn’t encounter in earlier versions. Here is a list of problems that I experience:

  • When using room scan and holding the phone vertical, the “Cancel” and “Done” buttons get hidden behind the top bar on the iPhone, where the time, battery status etc. is placed, which makes it impossible to use the buttons. This means that it is impossible to finish a scan this way. Changing the phone to horizontal makes the buttons appear where they can be pressed, but this also eliminates the earlier scan data. The interface button also ends up residing on top of the cancel button in horizontal mode. Also, scanning in horizontal mode seems to make the phone slower and it doesn’t scan the surroundings as well, often leading to broken or wrong room scans.
  • When saving a new model (room or object scan) I’m not given the choice to name the model. Sometimes when I look around in where to save the model, there is a slight chance that a text bar shows up, allowing me to choose a name for the model, but mostly this is not the case.
  • When selecting an object and holding the finger in, I can choose to “Inspect” the object and its properties. However, when I press cancel or unselect everything, I have no way to get the original menu back, which lets me save, close or open a model. It stays on the “Properties” menu.

Does anybody have a solution to these problems? Is there something I might have missed in the new UI about how to resize/navigate it better?

Best regards,

Alexander H.

The first and the third issue you brought up are fixed in 9.0.26041, please update to the latest.

I’m aware of the second issue, it’s a bug with iOS file browser in iOS 26. I have reported it to Apple and hoping they fix it in the future updates. I’ve noticed that the file name field appears if you drag down the file browser half way and release a few times.

Hope that helps
