Problem with exporting curves from Rhino to DXF

Hi,

I have a problem: each time i export curves from Rhino, to Dxf, in order to lasercutting, all the curves are like some a lot of little curves. It happens every times.

I thought that the problem was because, in the export panel, i did not choose “Lines → Convert to Polylines”, but, as you can see in the screenshot here, even choosing this, i have multiple curves.

Can you please help me?
You can download my original rhino file, and what happens after i export it in dxf, even chossing “Lines-> convert to polylines”.

Thanks so much

OOOOOO!!!
Thanks so muuuuuch! :grinning:

Im having the same issue and havent found solution jet. I draw a spline in rhino 8. Convert it to arcs/lines. When I export it to dwg in Natural mode (arcs->arcs), then result is still curve of line segments in Autocad. When I open the same converted arc in Rhino 7 and export to dwg with exact the same settings, I get curve of arcs (thats what I need). I dont know why it`s not working in Rhino 8.

I would uncheck “maximum angle”. Also check to see if the arcs you are producing with Convert are not so tiny that they get converted to line segments within the simplify tolerance.

Didn`t solved the problem.

Can you post the curve and the settings you used?

  • Curve before using Convert
  • Convert command-line settings you used
  • Curve after convert
  • DXF export settings
