Hi,
I have a problem that is a little difficult to describe, but I will try my best.
I am making a cardboard model of a boat to make sure that all the parts are correct, and I have developed a new procedure to save time, but I found that the sections were not to the correct scale.
I put my 3D model in the right view and then isolated each section to print them individually, which resulted in unacceptable distortion.
Then I put the model in perspective view, with the plane aligned to reference 0 for each section, and then I went back to the right view and typed “Plan,” and the result was accurate.
Why do I have to do this if I’m in the right view?
I wasted a lot of time, as I had all the sections meticulously cut…ufff.
