Print Multiple Layouts fail in Rhino PDF

Hi..

I’ve just find this issue (bug?). If printing multiple layouts with a custom paper size, the print fails both in Rhino PDF and in Acrobat PDF (oddly enough.. it is working using Microsof PDF printer.. but Rhino PDF is isually better for graphic quality.. and I would like to keep using RhinoPDF )

It works ok when printing layouts one by one..

By the way my layouts are Ansi D size (863.60 x 558.8 mm) and actually this size is not listed as a typical page size in rhino PDF.. :frowning:

I also tested changing the paper sizes to 864mm X 556mm and it failed too.

I’m attaching my systemInfo

thank you

Untitled_Bug Multiple layouts.3dm (82.6 KB)

Hi -

Printing your file works fine here.
Is there some error message that pops up when printing fails?
Print settings are sadly not included in a 3dm file, could you post screenshots of all of the settings in the print dialog when printing that file?
-wim

Hi Wim

No error message pops.. .command bar says “printing page 1”.. but it is obviously not doing it.. (and considering how simple is this file… it should be a matter of seconds)

I am attaching a screenshot

Thank you for your help.

Hi M -

From that statement, I deduce that “printing page 1” is shown in the command bar for a longer period of time. What happens then? I’m trying to understand what “fails” means in this case.

Thanks for that, it shows some of the settings but not all. Could you scroll down, expand all sections and post the rest?
-wim

Hi,

Yes, indeed—by “fail” I mean: “there’s no PDF output whatsoever.”
I’m attaching a video—hope it helps to solve the mystery.

Hi @mutarq,
We are unable to duplicate the issue. Your display card meets the minimum requirement. Here are our PDFs: Raster and Vector printed with the Rhino PDF printer.
Untitled_Bug Multiple layouts.zip (1.7 MB)

For troubleshooting, disable the above plugins in Options → Plugins.
Sort on “Plugs that do not ship with Rhino.”
Uncheck these plugins and restart Rhino and test.

Let us know the results. (If you are able to print, add the plugins back one at the time until you find the offending one. Report the issue to the plugin developers.)

If you are still not able to print to the Rhino PDF (focus on Rhino PDF for now) send us the latest version of your SystemInfo.

Thanks for your help with troubleshooting this issue.
Sincerely,
Mary Ann Fugier
