the Great Rombihexacron seems to have some flipped faces:

This shape is not a solid; might have something to do with it.

Thanks @dale, i’ve been wondering why ? Once flipped it can be joined without naked edges.

Great rhombihexacron

The faces are bowties (or butterflies). But the plug-in splits face boundaries that intersect, thus making it possible to close.
