Persistant Gumball

(Declan Halpin) #1

When an object is created, its gumball “remembers” the original orientation (For instance, the longitudinal axis of an extruded cylinder). But if the object is de-selected, then re-selected, the Gumball defaults back to world XYZ. Is there any way to make the gumball remember its original orientation?

Hi Declan - individual objects should remember - since at least SR7 or 8, but multiple selections, including groups do not (and cannot…) , nor do control points. Is that what you are seeing?

Ah. Yeah, I guess it was a group. Any chance that will be possible in the future? I understand ungrouping would blow it up…

Hi Declan - Anything is possible but I think that one is pretty hard, and it is not done in V6 so far…
