I think there was a thread locked recently where a lot of people expressed this pretty clearly…
I think my reply in that thread agrees with what McNeel has said about Fusion and Zbrush here. There’s no way that it will stay like that for 25 years… VC funding or not, Siemens is just testing the waters in a new market:
And again now that I see the first part from my own above answer in that thread, similar things are repeated here too… users asking for features, and McNeel replying along the lines of “oh, we could do those features but you probably don’t want to pay for it”… meanwhile, I suspect that if McNeel haven’t done it in the last 25 years, chances are that they don’t know how to do those features regardless of what they say… (case in point, did we pay extra for Grasshopper? Subdivs?)
McNeel, less talk more action, prove us wrong! (Not holding my breath, though… I’d have suffocated long ago.)
