I work in the sustainability sector, where I have to analyse architect’s design (the usual stuff - thermal modelling, daylight etc.). We keep getting revised versions of the design from the architect and it reaches a point where we can’t model all revisions due to paucity of time. And architects only share DXF format of their designs.
My question is, is there a way to create a geometry in Grasshopper in such a way that it becomes easy to adjust wall location, window size/location, door size/location etc. with each design alterations? We are not trying to do any fancy design work on Grasshopper, our aim is to just improve the turnaround time for modelling.
These models are then exported as .gem files and processed on other application.
