Packagemanager not showing up

Hi,

Lately I haven’t been able to open up PackageManager. The command goes through fine, but nothing pops up.
I just tried to reinstall Rhino to see if that helped with the problem but with no luck.
Any ideas what it could be?

Kind Regards
Mikkel

Hi Mikkel -

I’m not sure what that means, exactly.

Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste the result here.
-wim

When I run the “packagemanager” command, it doesn’t write any warnings or error.

@Mist, the PackageManager window could be showing up offscreen. This sometimes happens after unplugging an external monitor. Does Rhino become unresponsive after running the PackageManager command?

Hi @will,

No, it doesn’t become unresponsive. and it doesn’t wirte anything elese in the commandline:

In the image I tried it 3 times in different ways.

I also just tried to unplug my external screen, without any luck.

Does anything happen if you use the scripted form of the command, -PackageManager (choose the Search option and enter a search term)?

Still no window poping up.

I have the same problem, did you find a solution?

Hi Petra -

Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste the result here.

@Petra_Weiss since you’re on Windows, can you please try enabling debug logging?

  1. Download and unzip rh7_debug_logging.reg.zip (769 Bytes)
  2. Run rh7_debug_logging.reg (you can read it first if you want to know what it’s going to do by right-clicking and choosing “Edit”).
  3. Now start Rhino 7 and try to run the _PackageManager command
  4. Go to the My Documents folder and send us the RhinoDebugMessages.txt file that should now be there.

Hi all, that usually happens when you have a wrong source path in the Properties → Advanced → PackageManager.Sources (i.e: ending with a ‘;’ will cause PackageManager not opening at all)
