Are you trying to move the lower surface to the upper Rectangle ?----Mark
Waht are you trying to do?
Orient3Pt moves (translates) and rotates objects. The rotation is about the first point selected. The rectangle in you example is moving and then rotating. (Or rotating and then moving; the result is the same.) Orient3Pt is equivalent to Move and Rotate3D used twice.
I added two objects to your example, and then used Orient3Pt:
yes I wanted to find a way to do it “remotely” and for some reasons I thought orient3pt woudl work. but clearly I was not thinking carefully.
is there a way to do this in Rhino (no Gh) by using external references?
•perhaps adding an option to use Orient with this feature I am looking for?
