Offset curve away from mesh

Hi

How do I offset these joined curves towards the mesh or the surfaces in between. I can move the curves in the right direction when using mesh/curve and vector 2 point, but can’t seem to get it to work using offset, they some go towards the mesh, some goes away from it.

Using Rhino 7 and some pufferfish in this definition.
