Objects Which are NOT Grouped are Moving Together

As the title says, for about a week or so now, Rhino has been doing this weird thing across multiple files. If I move an object or objects which have been copied from a parent, Rhino wants to move all those objects together, even if they’re selected individually or not grouped. It’s not every time with every file, but frequently random.

Anyone else experienced this before?

Hi Sean,

What version of Rhino are you running? Please run SystemInfo in the Rhino command line and post the result. Do you have a small example and steps to repeat? Thanks

Hi @Sean_McNamara
Perhaps you have or had History enabled when you copied the objects? If so they would move when you move the original/s. You could try selecting the offending objects and running historypurge command on them. Also sometimes ungrouping needs more than one ungroup if there are nested groups within groups.

Here’s the system info.

I attempted to repeat using a problem file from yesterday, but naturally, the problem did not repeat.

I just wanted to give a video example of what 3dsynergy was talking about, about how History can cause this effect of multiple objects moving as though they are grouped.
