Obj Import Problems - Exported from Canvas

I’m getting an error importing this file. If I open in blender and reexport it opens fine. Sauna_room.obj (4.3 MB) The file was created by the Canvas app on an ipad. The textures are not important to me in this workflow. Any ideas?

Which Rhino version? I imported with R6 with no problem.

// Rolf

Hello - that file opens here - what error message do you see, exactly?

-Pascal

Oh I’m on R6 too. Hmmmmm.

“Error importing file “C:\Users\twhaley\Downloads\Sauna_room.obj”.”

Hm - opens in 6 here as well - can you run SystemInfo in Rhino and post the results? Is there an mtl file associated with the obj in the same folder? If so, move it to a different folder and see what happens.

-Pascal

The folder move did the trick!

Hi Tyler - can you post the mtl file? I can’t remember off hand what the problem is with some of these, but if I see one, it may jog my memory.

Thanks for all the help. Original Mesh - Sauna_room.zip (1.2 MB)
