NXT 5.5 in Rhino 5

Hi;
I’m having trouble installing NXT 5.5 in a Rhino 5 environment. Specifcally downloading the latest flamingo release and isntalling it, my toolbar reads “Flamingo 5.0”. I’ve found numerous refernces to 5.5 as being compatible with both rhino 5 and rhino 6.

When I go to Flamingo 5.0 > About I get the following:
5.0.18100.1000 (build date 2 Dec 2019)
Rev 1010

A new version is ready to be installed, close rhino etc…

I follow the instructions and never get any updates.

Help?

Both Flamingos can be installed at the same time.
In the Render pull-down > Current Renderer, is Flamingo nXt 5.5 selected?

Yes. Have checked the behavior on both:

  • Rhino 5 with NXT and Bongo 2
  • Rhino 6 with NXT and NXT 5.5 and Bongo 2
