Hey there, since my current mac is about to die I will probably purchase a new mac and was wondering if it is possible with an educational license to transfer it to my new MacBook or do I need to purchase another licence again? Would it also work to transfer to a windows pc? (Playing with the thought to move back to windows)

Yes, you can keep the license. Do you have your license in the zoo? That would be the easiest solution, since that acts as a floating license. You can use your license on Mac and Windows.

The educational is a full version but does have the restriction of not being able to create a Zoo Team and share with others. Actively using it on multiple computers is fine, as long as its you. The license is non-transferable and can only be used by you (unlike the full version)
