New Component: Create Hatch patterns with Grasshopper in Rhino 9

Thanks for the last fix it works well! Very useful component.

By trying out the components a bit more, I’m wondering if there’s an easy way to make dot patterns? Particularly with the Line Pattern Component?

With Pattycake and Ralph Plugin, it can be done. In Pattycake they are made with simple click in the editor and in Ralph plugin they are made with points (an update was made at a certain point that allow the hatch maker to handle points) What’s interesting here is that you can move the points around and see the visual directly in the tile.

I’ve been using this hatchmaker a little lately and made some minor helpful updates. It now accepts points as inputs for dot-base hatches and has a faster, native python bake to layer with colour input and sample hatch. Also you can edit the header text of the .pat file

The end result is dot patterns, as shown here (PrintDisplay=ON Scale=25):
