.NET Framework vs .NET Core (K3d, Rhino 8, Rhino.Inside Revit)

I currently have 2 main workflows with Karamba3d:

  1. Use Karamba3d with Rhino/Grasshopper.
  2. Use Karamba3d with Rhino.Inside Revit/Grasshopper.

To use Karamba3d in RiR (Rhino 8), I understand that I need to have the .NET Framework version installed.

However, when I am not using RiR, do I still need to use the .NET Framework edition?

i.e. If I want to use RiR with Rhino 8, do I need to always run Rhino on the .NET Framework regardless of if I am in Revit or not?

Hi Dan,

You can only install one instance of Karamba for RH8 installed at one time, so if you need to run RIR, then I suggest you keep the Framework installed all the time.

best,
Matthew
