I’m working on a project in Grasshopper (Rhino 7) that I will eventually build using MDF for the arches and surfaces, along with a thread. The project works similarly to a table hockey setup. I have already designed the arches with holes for the thread and modified them so they can be set inside a surface ( but it also should be done in grasshoper, not rhino )
Now, I need to develop a system in Grasshopper where a thread connects all the arches, ensuring they move in unison. Essentially, there are two parts to the mechanism:
- First Mechanism: This rotates the arches in the first row.
- Second Mechanism: A thread runs through all the arches (from each row) and connects at the center. When activated, it makes all the arches move simultaneously.
Initially, all the arches are in a fixed, neutral position. When you activate Mechanism 1, the arches in the first row rotate. Then Mechanism 2 - the connecting thread that runs through each arch - is activated, causing all the arches to move equally at the same time.
