I just purchased an Omen 17 with a 3080 Ti and i712800HX and 32 gb ram… HP is discounting these pretty fair. All told with CA tax was $2,300 which is way better than a lot of other laptop manufacturers out there for the 3080Ti models. The 3080Ti has 16GB Vram. It runs enscape and VR super well. As long as keyshot uses the GPU I can recommend this. I had some issues getting my graphics driver configured properly with Rhino but see my other thread for more info on that. You cannot overclock the Omen CPU’s so if you want to do that you should buy something else. It’s a good looking case as well and not too heavy. Personally I am not waiting for the 4080 or 4090. The 3080Ti has more vram and runs complex models perfectly fine in Enscape.

you probably don’t need to upgrade, as your setup is fine. you probably need to optimize your windows so that it doesn’t run all the bloatware (i use autoruns and shutup10) and rhino so that it doesn’t load all the plugins you don’t use day to day.
Also a good idea is to download the latest nvidia studio drivers, latest windows updates. if you have an ssd/nvme, make sure it has 20-30% free storage, as its performance degrades significantly when getting full.
Try for either a HP Zbook or a Dell precision model. These are some of the best options for your budget.
