Naked Edge is an artifact "in space"?

#1

Hello,

I’m relatively new to rhino so perhaps I’m missing something there. I have an object that is showing a naked edge that seems just like a small point. I have rebuilt this object a number of times but I can’t seem to get rid of this naked edge/point. Upon closer inspection, there seems to be a small line segment out in space that is a part of one of these object and I cannot separate it. I have attached some screenshots of this artifact.

I created the object in question by revolving a profile, then FlowAlongSrf & Split on both the inner and outer surface, then the BlendSrf to “attach” the inner and outer surface.

Any idea on how to remove this naked edge / artifact?

Hi Mark - there is a secret test command that will help here:

testRemoveAllNakedMicroLoops

You’ll need to type the whole thing, it does not autocomplete.

Hi
there’s a test command that will fix that for you
’_testRemoveAllNakedMicroLoops [it won’t autocomplete so type or copy the whole thing]

I think it is a regular command in V6 now

I see Pascal was faster here, nice.
