Monochrome mode issue: background color would color objects

Is this a bug? wanted the object contrast from background much more.

you’d have to set the main view in one mode, then set the object in another.

set the view to rendered,

then set the object to artic or whatever you want using the SetObjectDisplayMode command

Hi Hannes -

If you need a technical display mode (e.g. for vector printing), you can enable the Shade objects option:

-wim

@wim sadly shade objects will result in displaying the geometry darker and not in white but grey which I do not intent.

Hi Hannes -

You can also put the viewport in the Monochrome display mode and put selected objects in the Rendered display mode. Then assign an emissive material to those objects:

-wim

@wim wouldn’t it be easier to rewrite the Monochrome mode that you can change the color of the background without compromising the objects white color. Would be awesome.

Hi Hannes -

I’m offering things that you can do right now. Like today. Rewriting the display pipelines has been on the list for many years and, AFAIK, is not planned for Rhino 9. If you wish to wait for that, fine…

@wim and i am very happy you posted it! Thank you
