Modeling Reinforced Masonry Walls in Karamba

Dear karamba,

I hope this message finds you well. I am currently working on a project where I plan to construct a ferrocement roof on a reinforced load-bearing masonry wall. The structure is a masonry building, and the walls are made of CEB (Compressed Earth Blocks).

I am uncertain about how to model the reinforcement bars for the load-bearing masonry walls in the structural analysis (similar to the wall shown in the attached picture). Could you kindly guide me on the best approach or provide any references that might help?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Dear @Atefe_Morovati,
I would calculate the governing cross section forces in a linear elastic calculation without considering the reinforcement.
Based on these cross section forces the reinforcement should then be calculated using formulas from the relevant building code. In these formulas effects like creep of the material, stability and imperfection usually enter.
