Modeling Question- Need Tips and Help if possible

Hi I want to create a ramp that grows based on the geometry of the object it is to be placed in. ( for reference think Guggenheim). I want the ramp to be connected to the walls of this drum as it moves up. I have attached images of what it looks like now. I want the ramp to be connected to the walls of this shell as it goes up. Could anyone help me model this ramp. Could i use the spiral or helix or flow on curve commands or something like that? I made this simple ramp using grasshopper and then I manipulated it with the gumball to make it fit for this example.
The other way would be to draw points on the surface and then interpcrvonsrf but I do not know how to make those points on this surface. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I cannot figure this out.

Hi Kaamil - one way to get the path - for example to Sweep1 - is to create a helix outside the shell , Loft the helix to a vertical line, then intersect the loft with the cone to get a path that is on the cone -

you can use that to Sweep1 a ramp.

If you are clever and plan ahead, you can do this with History and be able to adjust the helix surface to control the rate of the ramp.

Here is a quick and dirtry example file - if you turn on control points for the cage object and move the second and third set up and down, you can control the way the ramp accelerates, if needed.

Thank you, this is so helpful. Thank you sooo much!

that is an awesome solution to that problem! well done as always!!

I will be stealing that and claiming it as my own…

Hi Kaamil - what does the command line show when you try to make the sweep1?

Hi, I solved this issue myself thank you. I have posted another modeling question separate to this if you could take a look through my profile. It would be a great help if you could help with that I will really appreciate it!
