Mitigating UnrollSrf and Smash % size increase using scale

Hello, quick question. I’ve got a very small deviation when unrolling or smashing a curved surface. The deviation has been between .28% and .8% increase in size. There are 4 pieces on the model that are each changing a slightly different percentage, but always bigger.

If I Scale2D each flattened surface down by the percentage increase for that part, will that mitigate the increase in size? I sense that this increase in size is not a uniform increase and that this is way too easy of a fix.

I guess it depends, but I would not overall scale, no, it’s probably just in a particular area…
