To the VisualARQ Support / Development Team,
I am writing to report a specific UI localization bug I encountered in VisualARQ 3.81 regarding the Parameter Properties dialog. The “Object” and “Layer” assignment tabs disappear entirely when the Rhino interface language is set to Chinese, but they display perfectly when switched back to English.
Environment:
-
VisualARQ Version: 3.81
-
Rhino Version: Rhino 8 sr28
-
Operating System: Windows
Steps to Reproduce:
-
Set the Rhino system language to Chinese.
-
Go to
Rhino Options→VisualARQ→Parameters(Document Parameters). -
Select any parameter from the list and open the Parameter Properties dialog.
-
Observe the available tabs at the top of the dialog.
-
Close the dialog, switch the Rhino system language back to English, and restart Rhino.
-
Repeat steps 2 and 3.
Expected Behavior: The Parameter Properties dialog should consistently display three tabs: “General”, “Object”, and “Layer”, allowing users to assign document parameters to specific objects or layers, regardless of the UI language.
Actual Behavior: When the UI is in Chinese, only the “General” (常规) tab is visible. The “Object” and “Layer” tabs are completely missing, making it impossible to assign parameters to specific categories. When switched back to English, all three tabs appear and function correctly.
Notes: This appears to be a localization/UI rendering bug specific to the Chinese language pack in VA 3.81. I have attached screenshots comparing the English and Chinese interfaces for your reference.
Looking forward to a fix in the next minor release. Thank you for your hard work on this excellent plugin!
Best regards
