Mesh of irregular surface

Hi there!

I am looking to create a meshed grid from an irregular surface in Grasshopper. The grid seems to span beyond the surface:

The green is the desired (closed) curve and surface, whilst the red block around it is the mesh.

This basic shape looks like a very typicacl three-way pipe joint. I can offer two methods for your reference:
