Mesh fix for non manifold mesh

Hello again.


I am going to process quadremesh on these mesh, but I cannot proceed with lots of non manifold mesh in it. I know the way is to delete all of them and append any holes on it, but I need a quicker way. Does anyone know? thanks

How did you create the mesh?

Its from a Maya designer from client’s side

The mesh seems to miss some faces too. The border isn’t continuous.

Can you Shrinkwrap your way to freedom?

Shrink wrap does not work on this shape. Isn’t it?

Why don’t you aslk the Maya designer to provide a better file? The geometry you shared above is garbage. If that is not possible, just rebuild the border and sweep2 some rebuilt profiles…

Weird object. But you can Shrinkwrap it and then Quad Remesh with symmetry…

Thanks, looks like it is 2 objects there but I found it “attached” altogether. What is the setting of shrinkwrap to this result? thanks.

The lower the better. Start with 2 and then lower it to maybe 1 and then 0.5 and 0.2
