Menu customization

Is it possible to drag menu icons into and rearrange them in the sidebar?

Use Rhinoceros > Commands > Customize to modify the contents of tool palettes.

Thanks. I’m also wondering if I can have tabbed panels located above the work windows like the windows version has. That would be very useful to manage menu clutter.

JKayten: - did anyone ever answer this question (Mac tool-bars tabbed like Windows?)

Not yet… Is that a feature that’s in the works?

I am NOT the EXPERT here, but I think if you do: Rhinoceros => Preferences => Themes => at the top select: “Rhino for Windows” - then quit and re-start you’ll get all the ‘tabs’ that Windows has - but HEY - I’m NOT the EXPERT, so don’t blame me if it don’t work - I’m just another (amateur (at best)) user…

It works!! Thanks very much

glad I could help!

Curious why this isn’t default upon initial install? I signed up for Tutes on Lynda.com and I immediately noticed big differences in interface particularly the tabs at the top. With knowing that the Mac version is still in development, I was led to believe the UI was still being worked on when comparing to the PC version.

Great tip “vikingasia”! Thanks!

The Mac version “default” interface is destined tor people who are coming from the Mac side and apparently “tabs” are not considered a “Mac” way of organizing things… In any case, do not expect the “final” MacRhino UI to be a clone of the Windows Rhino UI - it won’t.
