MatchProperties Failure?

I like to use this command to speed up this repetitive task. (Though there is probably a better way) Can’t figure out why its broken now.

Select the dimension(s) to change and use the Match button in the dimension Properties panel instead.

Perfect!
Worked excellent!
So why would the command not work? If you don’t mind me asking.

It simply looks like the MatchProperties command is not set up to match annotation style properties between annotation objects. I can put that in as a request, however I think it’s probably too late for V8.

Thank you :slightly_smiling_face:

slightly different ‘Match’ issue, but when using hatches, choosing match in the dialogue box doesn’t work, especially the gradient options. If you highlight your hatch, and choose match from the standard properties window it works fine :man_shrugging:t4:

Hi @milezee,

I’ve logged the “hatch match” issue.

Hi @dale Dale, thanks for checking and logging, it’s been one of those annoying things thats not the end of the world but can be frustrating :+1:t4:

I think its important to note that when Matching a hatch with a gradient that the stop locations are also matched. This is by design. If your goal is to simply match the gradient color pattern but not the gradient point locations then using the Reset Gradient Boundary button (added to v8) is the way to go after matching.

Example: The gradient is matched across 2 hatches making a seamless gradient across multiple shapes
0335

Example: Gradients are matched and then Boundary is reset. Making the colors match but locations different. Not a true match but reset.
