Manipulating grid lines from a rectangular grid to form a base shape

Hey team, ive been trying to figure out ways to form a base shape of my building from a structural grid. The grid i have constructed on grasshopper is parametric and each grid line can move accordingly. The vision here is to form a base in which my building can be manipulated via these grid lines. As my building isnt rectangular and has a few kinks in it finding it hard to cut out these shapes via the grid. Is there a way to do this that i am missing, maybe through finding distances between lines or points.

Not really sure what you’re after here. Use that curve as your cutting tool to remove parts of the grid you don’t want.

Dont worry i ended up figuring it out, by manually selecting the surfaces from the grid than region difference that to get my shape. Thankyou though
