Hi Jeff.
I have tried everything and even opening the special components folder and nothing seems to work. The plug-in and grasshopper file does not show up on my mac. I have also tried downloading the zip file. Does anyone have any ideas or a different track? thanks in advance.

Thank you ! that is very helpful link introducing me different types to install plugin.
And I also find comment under youtube comment helps me to find good path for Rhino 7 .
In grasshopper (inside the program) go to file> Special Folders> Components Folder and drag the whole unzipped lunchbox folder there. I have Mac and Rhino 7, so yes, it works. (/Users/myuser/Library/Application Support/McNeel/Rhinoceros/7.0/Plug-ins/Grasshopper (b45a29b1-4343-4035-989e-044e8580d9cf)/Libraries)

ho lo stesso problema che hai avuto tu nell’installazione di LUNCHBOX in quanto ho un MAC: mi dà lo stesso errore e non ho il percorso nel quale inserire il plug-in.
Posso chiederti come hai fatto?
