Low vision architect student seeking best 32 inch 4k monitor

Hello, my low vision daughter is having difficulty seeing the Rhino 8 3D modeling program on her Dell XPS 17 inch 9730 4k 32gb laptop despite zooming in constantly. I feel she needs a large monitor. What would be the best 32inch 4k monitor to purchase? 1.Should the monitor have a matte or glossy coating?
2. Flat or curved screen for a low vision student?
3. What kind of color richness should I look for? Ex. DPI
4. Should I look for blue light filter on the monitor, and will the blue light make the picture blury?
5. Will my daughter’s laptop conect to monitors that are 60w or 96w?
6. Should I seek a10 bit monitor for a vivid picture vs 8 bit?

I am not tech savvy at all, so I have been trying to educate myself on the type of features that will help her see the Rhino 8 3D modeling program. I truly appreciate any help from this community.

Thanks,
MaryAnn

Thank you so much for your help. I will look into those monitors.

Hi,

1, 2: Those are highly personal preferences.
3. DPI is not related to “color richness”
4. It’s very likely the whole “blue light” thing is bunk.
5. Is this about charging the laptop from the monitor? Does it really matter?
6. This is for a kid doing 3D modeling in school, not movie production, it does not practically matter.

  1. The whole concept of asking people who use some software about hardware for it sounds good but doesn’t really work. I’ve got work to do, I don’t have time to benchmark everything that comes along, half of us have no control over what we use anyway.

Please note that both the reply above and the question have been identified as having the “smell” of AI. Please try to sound human.

Benq have some nice monitors with EyeCare techonology. I personally use two at work and one at home and I do see a huge difference in having much less eye fatigue than using the previous monitors.
