I am new at grasshopper. I was trying to make this wooden ceiling at One Main office by dECOi Architects. I was to understand that the surface of tfe ceiling has to be divided into points, then the points have to be moved up and down and then joined as a curve, but not sure what dictates the point translation?

You will find many scripts to make such structures.
The main shape could surely be done using a surface with not too much control points so you can edit it by hand inside Rhino or other softwares
Making the slice is the easy part if just for rendering. If for production it is less simple.
