Looking to create a simple definition for changing the shape of closed curves

Hello all and thanks in advance for the help.

I’m very new to Grasshopper and want to get started with a project to learn GH in a way that makes sense for my process. Basically, I’m trying to create a simple definition that would alter the X Y location of control points on a closed curve.

Attached is an image of what I’d like to do, ideally with a slider so that i could dynamically change the control points on a smooth curve.

My plan is to try and link a bunch of these modules together to create a basic camouflage pattern generator - Right now I have no idea where to start

I’ve taken a couple GH training courses and am familiar with how to build definitions, but have never tried to apply it to my personal creative process and I thought this would be a good way to get started.

Thanks! not looking for someone to build a definition, but just to outline some tools that I would need to get started

You might want to see the linked topic. Not sure this is helpful for you, anyway if you can adjust some parameters of this definition, then the result would be similar to your goal.

Hi @adamgrinovich,

You might want to check the definition here as it provides you with explanation and begins to achieve something similar:

Alternatively, you could look into the PointDeform parameter, often forgotten:

I know you weren’t asking for a file, but this example was relatively simple:
