Is there any way to use Rhino (or plug-in) to do light simulations and calculations?
So basically what Dialux (DIALux - DIAL) does, but only inside Rhino?
I don’t know what kind of light calculation you would like to do, but maybe Ladybug is what you are looking for
i think not, rhinos lights are pretty much not standard but you can set light sources to linear fall off and even to inverse square which is i think the physically appropriate pendant to what one would call realistic. the values are not very physical though but to simulate simple lighting it should be sufficient.
@martinborst1 i am not using ladybug yet, but from what i understood is that it is used to evaluate which parts of a structure/building are being exposed to sunlight and not for simulating realistic lighting.
