Keep colour attributes from mesh to surface

MESH TO SRF COLOURS.gh (5.2 KB)
MESH TO SRF COLOURS.3dm (687.5 KB)

Hi everyone!
I have a fairly simple task to do.
I have a mesh which I have baked in GH after a solar radiation analysis in Ladybug, and the mesh has kept the gradient colors.

I am trying now to unroll the mesh (either in Rhino or in GH), which requires converting it into a surface or a brep and my problem is that I lose the colour attributes after converting the mesh to a surface.

If anyone has any idea of how I could deal with it, it would be super helpful.

Thanks!

Assigning and displaying colors onto your surfaces is easy, but baking with colors(Materials)is somthing you’ll probably need coding or plugins…
Attached is an example using Human plugin.

Hi!

Thanks a lot for your quick answer. I have a small question though. When I am trying to open your GH file, the component with the attached icon does not appear and GH generates a message that I lack a plugin without mentioning which one it is (just shows a “?”).Can you tell me which one it is so I can download it?

Thanks in advance

It‘s a rhino 6 function, no plugin.

Perfect! Thanks a lot!
