I have designed a concrete beam in Karamba and analysed its deflection. The problem is that the value for deflection is suspiciously low even when I apply massive loads. For my 8m beam to deflect by just 2.5cm, I have to apply a UDL of 100kN/m! What am I doing wrong? Could this be a mix-up of units?

The material used for this beam is C30/37, defined within the Karamba Material component. The beam has a 30cm depth with a variable cross section of 30cm near the supports and 50cm in the middle. the 2.5cm deflection isn’t even past the span/250 safety limit, yet the loads applied on the beam are insanely high.
