on an unrelated? question (i don’t know which topic category here to put this question), in Rhino6 i am trying to open Grasshopper files which include for example Kangaroo 2.3.1, when i open the Grasshopper file and do a Package Restore for the missing Kangaroo versions it says “successfully installed, retart Rhino”, i do this but nothing changes, the same error keeps showing up as if nothing has been installed/ changed? any thoughts? does Package Restore generally work?
Hi Aileen - I’ve moved this to a new topic.
Could you provide more information about the error message that you are getting?
ok so i have 3 directories:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\McNeel\Rhinoceros\5.0\Plug-ins\Grasshopper (b45a29b1-4343-4035-989e-044e8580d9cf)\0.9.76.0\Components
C:\Program Files\Rhino 6\Plug-ins\Grasshopper\Components
and 2 versions of Rhino, Rhino5 and Rhino6.
does Rhino6 use other directories other than C:\Program Files\Rhino 6\Plug-ins\Grasshopper\Components
do i need all 3 directories?
in all 3 directories i have copied:
now i will open Rhino5 and Rhino6 again and see if any of them have Kangaroo2
please help i am desperate to get this working, want to use the new tools like RigidBody
Please don’t double post.
It looks like this issue is continued in that other thread.
