in grasshopper you can isotrim a surface to create a grid like set of lines with the help of divide domain square command. can you do the same or similar to a mesh? connecting isotrim to mesh gives an error ?

If the mesh is planar, you can get the boundary naked edges first. If it is not, you have to convert it to a surface.
is it possible to convert mesh to a “surface” ?
