Introducing Atlas: One-Click Geo-Spatial Data extraction for Rhino 8

Hi Rhino Community! :waving_hand:

I’m excited to share the beta release of Atlas, a free plugin that brings real-world geospatial data directly into your Rhino workspace with just one click.

Atlas connects to OpenStreetMap (OSM) to extract and organize geospatial data into clean, usable geometry. Everything gets automatically sorted into logical categories:

:office_building: Buildings: Residential, Commercial, Industrial, etc.
:motorway: Roads: Primary roads, Secondary roads, Footpaths, etc.
:deciduous_tree: Land Use: Parks, Forests, Water bodies, etc.
:tram: Transportation: Railways, Tram lines, Bus routes, etc.

Plus, Atlas integrates with Mapbox to extract accurate terrain data (DEM), giving you the complete geographical context for your projects.
