It’s a Rhino 7 (or older) function. It’s not new.
You can find it in the Mesh and SubD toolbars.
Ok… but now in V8 it’s working with surfaces… it’s not really an old tool…

The ability to inset surfaces/faces of a polysurface is new in V8 but the original command is from 7 for meshes and SubDs. I figured this functionality was similar enough to stay in the same command.
