I am still not using the Rhino 8 WIP.
In the meantime, just the fact that you describe it as a workaround is already not really promising. And as a Workaround it sound not very intuitive.
If you just made a block in layout, which is in mm, why would you need to got and change the scale of a block that as no transformation?
What happens when you export it to a external file?
What happens if you have more than on instance of the block?
Sorry these are questions that immediately come to my mind to test. I’ll try to start playing with WIP8 next week.
