Import Content is failing to read external files

It used to work slow but without problems, something is broken for about week or so.
I have a folder with 700+ files from which i have to read the data stored on the specific layer.
While Human is doing this fast and with 100% success rate (less than 20 sec. for +700 files), Rhino is failing in almost every case.
First attempt - loading 10 items / passed 9

Final boss of disappointment: what Human does in seconds ImportContent needs minutes (and still failing)

This urgently calls for attention. If you keep saying It works for us, I’d be happy to prove you it is not. If you can’t find resonable setup with hundreds of files I can test any update here.

Besides, how this one is supposed to work? I have tried any kind of layer naming and it is not working, therefore it takes ages to do any more-volumetric test:

Hi Piotr,

What changed a week or so ago?

We’ll need some additional details to proceed. Thanks

I know the drill, not sure how this could be relevant.
I missed the moment when the change happened.
One suspicion: I had this issue in V7 with older component and recently in V8.
I only realised I have installed VisualARQ for V8 recently, V7 have it installed as well.
All recent updates.

I think I am close to solving the case.
I put this into work in WiP where I don’t have VisualARQ installed and the time was 20% of initial computation and 100% success rate:

but it may be just coincidence.

Yep, a coincidence.
I have deactivated VA in V8 and the error is still there:

Yeah, we’ll need to isolate more to determine if its a Plugin, Rhino Version or combination of both.

What object types are in the files you are reading?

Each file in the library is a model with bounding box on a separate layer.
Bounding box has some attributes assigned which I am trying to read upon loading.
I am only interested in loading boxes as they are the fastest to load.

Hi @Piotr,

In order to fully deactivate VA please be sure that VisualARQ and also Tibidabo plugin are not enabled.

It will also help if you can share the error shown on the ‘Import Content’ component.

Can you share one of these files that are failing?

I know they are together and I have detached them both.

There is a bigger problem growing here.
I started loosing data:

The file is on the disc but I can’t open it, same for some rhino files and I don’t understand what is happening.
