I think the panels in the Rhino are not utilized well like “Named position, Named view, Named selection, Named Cplanes”. Because as per current usage, there is only two panels to display simultaneously, i know we can also dock other panels but that is not practically usable, also switching tabs for such things is not fast and effiecient as well.
So, i think of ideas like making commands like V+1 to save the current view to first slot of Named View and by pressing V1 to restore the view. it will allow us to quickly save and restore views for faster use.
Same can be done for Selection like S+1, S+2, S+3… to save and S1,S2,S3 to make selection.
Same can be done for Cplane like C+1, C+2, C+3… to save and C1,C2,C3 to restore Cplane.
Same can be done for Position like P+1, P+2, P+3… to save and P1,P2,P3 to recall position.
Same can be done for Layer-states like L+1, L+2, L+3… to save and L1,L2,L3 to restore layerstate.
Also 0 for default state like V0 to perspective view, C0 to reset cplane, P0 to move to origin, S0 to deselect all, L0 for all layer on.
in place of + Numapad dot or * can be used to avoid conflict elsewhere.
