How to resolve Flow Along Surface issue for shapes

while I am creating this design using flow along surface and the surface is slight round

like as shown in front view so when I do this on surface the side objects are getting streched and not as per I have put on the base surface so how can I resolve that thing in rhino???

like in many of my design I am facing this issue also so I need to solve this thing in it.

Upload a .3dm file with an example. Include the shapes to be flowed, the base surface and the target surface.

My guess is there is a mis-match of the parameter distribution on the base surface and target surface.

Flow.3dm (3.9 MB)

Here is the file for the issue which I have shared into the image

Your base surface has a different proportion, and your target surface has curved sides, hence you get distortion. If you split it into a rectangular region and two curved “end caps”, you get what you want.

@Lagom @davidcockey
I traied your solution but still the object have to bend only on surface vertically but they are geting strcthed horizontally as well I am sharing my 3dm file here

Also please do not mark solution till the final answer which I meet from the community as I am aware about this and I will mark that solution when I will get proper answer.

Thanks and regards

Flow.3dm (9.3 MB)

I’m not sure if this is what you want, but if it is, you can try using FlowAlongSrf + Flow to achieve it.

FlowAlongSrf+Flow.3dm (1.9 MB)

I have shared you the 3dm file in which while the objects are there reaching the edge they are getting stratched so main issue is that while the center objects remains proper so how can I resolve that.

Sorry, I don’t quite understand where this issue you mentioned is occurring. Have you opened the model I provided to take a look? If so, could you please take a screenshot and let me know which area’s deformation in this model is unacceptable to you? Thank you.

@jessesn

in the perspective vieew this is showing the curve on which I am trying to bend the object but as you can see in the front view the objects are getting stratched so that is I am asking and in the 3dm file which was shared by you previously has mostly flat shape so that is the main issue that not meet my doubt clearance

In the left image, you can see the objects bend only with the vertical curvature of the surface - because the surface has no curved shape sideways. So, if you do the above, you have no sideways distortion.

You can fix this issue with the option ConstrainNormal of FlowAlongSrf, and FYI.

This is for the one side surface but I am basically doing stone design so I have to put this all side as well if possible let me know if we can connect for a short meeting online so I can explain my doubt proper to you as I am close to my requirement as per your guideline but not exact that.

because when the shape is like the below image mostly ‘S’ curved so this is the main exect problem I am facing

still if possible let me know if we can connect online
