How to add a 2D symbol visible on plan views when creating a new REVIT door or windows family from Grasshopper Rhino inside components ?

There are not GH components to create 2D linework at the moment. You can use the python component however to create the necessary linework programmatically.

You can use the FamilyElement.ByCurve component to add symbolic curves to the family.
Here it is the definition Window.gh (38.4 KB) .

Wondering if anything has changed since this solution? I’m having difficulty with a casework family I’m creating with all lines made with the “Component Family Curve” coming in as model lines regardless of symbolic being toggled to true?

yer its a weird one… I tried starting the family as a generic family and then changed it to casework in GH after the initial generic family creation… and the linework all came in as symbolic… so seems to be a bug in there somewhere.
